EP Single
The song that gave our ministry its name.
In a world that's chasing shadows, running after fleeting gold, We trade eternal treasures for the things that leave us cold. But there's a deeper pleasure, one that never fades away— God is most glorified when we are most satisfied in Him today. God's glory first, that's the heartbeat of my soul, Every breath, every step, making Jesus known. Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last. God's glory first—let it echo through the years, God's glory first! He came down from heaven's splendor, born beneath a starry sky, Lived the perfect life we couldn't, then He chose to bleed and die. Laid inside a borrowed tomb, but death could never hold Him fast— Birth, death, burial, resurrection, plus or minus nothing, that's the gospel path. God's glory first, that's the heartbeat of my soul, Every breath, every step, making Jesus known. Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last. God's glory first—let it echo through the years, God's glory first! Many roads are calling, saying "This will set you free," But every voice is lying if it doesn't point to Thee. Jesus said it clearly, no one else can take His place— He is the way, the truth, the life, the only door to grace. So let the world keep its applause, let it chase its empty dreams, I'll spend my days in wonder at the King of kings. Nothing else will matter when I stand before His throne— Just one thing will remain: how I made His glory known. God's glory first, that's the heartbeat of my soul! Every breath, every step, making Jesus known! Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last! God's glory first—let it ring from age to age, God's glory first—forever be our praise! God's glory first!
"God's Glory First" grew out of the truths that shape everything we do. The idea that God is most glorified when we're most satisfied in Him. The gospel core — Christ's birth, death, burial, and resurrection, plus or minus nothing. The reminder that only one life will soon be past, and only what's done for Christ will last. Jesus' own words: "I am the way, the truth, and the life." These convictions became our motto, and eventually, this song.
